Utilities Engineer - Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers

Responsibilities

Perform utility relocation conflict analysis on large infrastructure projects
Performing engineering tasks requiring standard techniques and handling minor problems of a technical nature arising during construction
Participating in project meetings
Reading and interpreting contract documents, identifying risks, and recommending mitigation techniques
Create and manage file structures for design working files, deliverables, and reference documents
Investigating problems and/or reported incidents; identifying and recommending solutions/alternatives as appropriate

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or similar required
0-2 year minimum relevant experience utilities design, infrastructure engineering and/or design-build
Receives direction from more experienced engineer
Adjusts to varying demands of work and performs well
Communicates effectively orally and in writing. Present ideas clearly and in professional manner
Participates on teams effectively. Accepts direction from the team. Individually contributes to success of the team
Develops cooperative working relationships and open communication within and across groups, to work towards solutions that benefit all involved parties. Seeks expertise, advice and perspectives from a variety of sources
Consults with senior team members to receive direction for internal customers
Able to manage responsibilities and meet deadlines under supervision
Regular, reliable attendance
Work productively and meet deadlines timely
Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required
