Pickleball Court Monitor, Thurman Family Pickleball Center (Earlywine Park YMCA)

YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City is seeking pickleball court monitors to support their Thurman Family Pickleball Center programs. The role involves ensuring quality program delivery by monitoring facilities, addressing participant concerns, and maintaining a safe and organized environment.

Non-profit Organization Management

Responsibilities

Must complete all required Annual Compliance Trainings within 30 days of hire and renewed annually
Arrive 15 minutes prior to start of scheduled events and stay late as needed
Communicate problems and concerns shared by the participants to director in charge
Must be able to relate to all program participants in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner
Have confidence needed to enforce the Y rules at all facilities utilized to carry out the program
Ability to address and respond to any actions that are not in line with the Y mission or philosophy
Must provide the safest possible environment by helping to organize and maintain the program area including any and all Y equipment used by members
Report any and all incidents to supervisor
Responsible for carrying out approved emergency action plans in the event of an emergency
Clean program area before and after activities
Set up and canvas playing surfaces prior to program and return equipment after program to provide a safe environment
Communicate effectively with members
Develop meaningful and sustainable relationships with members

Qualification

PR/CPR CertificationAED CertificationFirst Aid CertificationYMCA Mission UnderstandingLift 30 PoundsEffective CommunicationRelationship Building

Required

Must be certified in PR/CPR, AED, O2, and First Aid. (Training provided by the Y, if needed)
Must be at least 18 years of age
An understanding of the YMCA mission in sports and how that mission is carried out using the Y's Core Values
Must be able to effectively communicate and relate to all age levels
Must be able to lift 30 pounds
