Group Sales Manager - The Hoxton, Chicago
Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced Group Sales Manager to join their Sales team at The Hoxton, Chicago. The role involves managing group bookings, collaborating with hotel operations, achieving revenue targets, and fostering client relationships to enhance event experiences.

Responsibilities
Help get those groups and events booked in and across the line! Everything from proposals and contracting to working with the hotel operating systems
Be nice to people, respond to leads quickly, and negotiate fairly
As a master communicator and team liaison, you will help prepare and distribute BEO’s and other reports throughout the hotel
Work closely with the hotel’s operations team to help them prepare incredible stays and events that will blow our guests away
Check yourself (and others) with personal performance reports and quality control checks
Make sure our event spaces are always on point and fully loaded
Meet, greet, and entertain all new and existing clients (think appointments, cold calls, etc.)
Be nice to people, respond quickly, and negotiate fairly
Achieve monthly revenue targets and objectives
Work closely with the Director of Sales to produce an annual Sales Activity Plan
Manage and convert key business and set regular conversion days
Meet and greet in-house key clients and guests to build relationships for future business
Make sure the hotels CRM is updated and in tip top shape
Deliver unforgettable hospitality within all areas of the business and cultivate a sales culture within the operations team
Ensure high conversion rates of inquiries to confirmed business while always tracking results
Keep the team in the loop - send weekly and monthly reports to the Director of Sales and General Manager and share Sales results at our weekly RevMax and Sales Strat Meetings
Be friendly and supportive by executing client entertainment, site tours and familiarization trips as needed
We’re in it together, so cross sell within our hotel and to our global family
You’ll take safety seriously and follow all fire & security procedures, health & safety standards, and ensure you’re working in a safe manner at all times
Qualification
Required
At least 2 years of hotel sales experience
A problem-solver; you love taking on difficult challenges and finding creative solutions
You love a good excel sheet, you can't help but write everything down
You think on your feet and like learning new things
You communicate clearly and you're comfortable communicating in person, in writing, and on the phone
You are motivated and driven
