They are seeking an Intern – Infrastructure - Network (IT) to support the design, maintenance, and optimization of their enterprise network infrastructure during a 12-week internship program.

Responsibilities

Assist in the monitoring and troubleshooting of network performance, connectivity, and security issues
Help provision, configure, and maintain network equipment such as switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points
Participate in network upgrades, hardware installations, and documentation efforts
Support routine network maintenance tasks including patching, updates, and performance tuning
Collaborate with engineers to test new technologies, tools, and automation scripts
Update and maintain network diagrams, configuration files, and internal documentation
Contribute to ongoing projects such as network modernization, security hardening, or cloud integration
Configure network monitoring with Solarwinds for real‑time traffic, latency, and error metrics
Create dashboards that display key metrics (packet loss, bandwidth utilization, device uptime) to the operations team
Automate alerting with threshold‑based and anomaly‑detection rules
Improvement of all existing network documentation
Inventory all network assets (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers) with serial numbers, firmware versions, and physical locations
Update topology diagrams and keep them version‑controlled in a central repository

Required

Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or other related IT field with an expected graduation date in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or equivalent
Foundational understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing & switching)
Demonstrated internship, work, research, or extracurricular participation
A willingness to learn and take initiative to understand the business
Involved with at least 1 extracurricular activity
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Interns must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred

Previous internship in Information Technology with a global employer
Aptitude for problem solving
Project experience with security tools or procedures
Interest in network automation, cloud networking or cybersecurity
Ability to manage projects and working within team in a fast-paced environment
