Responsibilities
Oversee internal accounting staff and third-party property accounting teams, ensuring accurate and timely reporting across the portfolio
Manage Yardi system administration and maintain custom reporting for property and investment-level analysis
Collaborate with asset management and operations teams to create, monitor, and analyze property and investment budgets
Review monthly financial statements and balance sheets for each property, ensuring alignment with budgets, underwritten assumptions, and investment objectives
Provide actionable insights to support asset management decisions and business plan execution
Maintain the property accounting monthly calendar and ensure all reporting deadlines are met
Serve as the internal expert and point of contact for property and investment accounting questions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA is a plus
8+ years of multifamily or commercial real estate property accounting experience with exposure to investment-level financial oversight
5+ years of experience with Yardi Voyager and intermediate Excel skills
5+ years of leadership experience, managing teams to achieve high performance and portfolio objectives
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to partner effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Preferred
Public Accounting experience - Tax or audit experience
Experience managing multi-family or commercial real estate investment portfolios, with a focus on financial performance and asset management
