Senior Assembly Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

Designing, integrating, and improving manufacturing systems related to the assembly halfshaft process
Leading the implementation of new systems
Supporting daily manufacturing activities
Providing troubleshooting solutions
Driving improvements in safety, quality, and productivity
Serving as a reference in domain including Floor to Floor (FTF) measurement and PPAP documentation
Contributing to process design, engineering solutions, and standards specification
Analyzing and specifying methods, process steps, and equipment required to continuously improve assembly systems
Ensuring alignment with Global Assembly Standards
Evaluating the effectiveness of engineering specifications
Conducting inspections
Managing supplier and contractor relationships
Supporting change initiatives
Contributing to product and solution development
Adopting new technologies
Prioritizing tasks effectively
Communicating across various teams
Engineering design
Testing
Specification development
Project scheduling
Costing
Budgeting
Acting independently while guiding and training others
Maintaining a high level of technical expertise through continuous learning

Qualification

Lean manufacturingAutomotive manufacturingPLC proficiencyPPAP familiarityContinuous improvementCommunication skillsCross-functional collaboration

Required

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent level in Engineering or a related technical field
6 to 10 years of experience in assembly of complex systems (e.g., halfshaft)
Proficiency in PLCs, visual systems (camera-based inspection), and parameterization programs
Proven ability to work independently and guide others in technical areas

Preferred

Experience in automotive manufacturing or high-volume assembly environments
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
Familiarity with PPAP, FMEA, and Global Assembly Standards
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
