Responsibilities

Technical Leadership: Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and industry trends, providing thought leadership and technical direction across customer and internal engagements

Technical Evangelism: Represent Memfault at conferences, industry events, and customer meetings to advocate for Device Lifecycle Management best practices

Solution Design: Partner with customers and prospects to understand their requirements, identify opportunities, and design Memfault solutions that drive measurable impact

Product Strategy: Pair feedback from the field with your experience and intuition to influence the product direction and the strategy of the business

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure technical alignment and maximize customer outcomes relative to effort

Engineering Management: Manage a team of field engineers across multiple geographies. Coach, advise, and support team members to help them achieve their full potential

Required

10+ years of experience in software engineering, solutions architecture, or field technology leadership roles

Proven success bridging technical and commercial domains—ideally in SaaS, embedded systems, or developer-focused products

Strong understanding of embedded systems, Linux, bare-metal, and device-level engineering

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for both engineers and executives

Demonstrated ability to influence product direction through customer insights and market feedback

Experience representing organizations externally at events or conferences is a plus
