Early Thermal Hydraulics Codes and Methods Engineer

The Early Thermal Hydraulics Codes and Methods Engineer will engage in engineering assignments to design, analyze, and ensure compliance with engineering standards while contributing to innovative solutions in the nuclear energy sector.
Responsibilities
Perform standard and non-standard engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks resolution of field problems and resolution of quality events
Solve a range of straightforward problems, analyze solutions and assess each using standard procedures
Ensure compliance with government regulations, organization, industry and customer engineering standards with support of senior staff
Independently evaluate, select and apply standard technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making minor adaptations and modifications for tasks previously performed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Minimum of 2 years of related experience
Knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria
Advanced level of specific software tools (CAD, FEA, CFD) and programming skills
Preferred
Experience in engineering simulations or the design and implementation of models and numerical methods
Experience related to commercial nuclear reactors
High level programming experience in C, C++, and Python
Familiar with engineering software used in simulating nuclear power plants
Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, time management, collaborative, continuous improvement, adaptability, problem-solving
Fundamental understanding of the mathematics and physics related to nuclear power plants
