EHIP Administrative Assistant (Temporary)

Lifelong is a community health organization committed to removing barriers to health. They are seeking a Temporary Administrative Assistant to provide clerical and administrative support to the Insurance Advocates during Open Enrollment for medical insurance, assisting with processing applications and client communications.

Responsibilities

Provide general clerical and administrative support to Insurance Advocates and the Insurance Coordinator. This support includes data entry, phone calls, letters, incoming and outgoing mail handling, and documentation of contact with clients, case managers, and vendors
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the client data systems
Conduct database projects or status reports as assigned
Advocate for clients under the guidance of the Administrative Supervisor
Provide exemplary customer service to clients, case managers, insurance companies, the Department of Health’s Early Intervention Program (EIP), and community partners
Perform all assigned duties of the position and other duties as needed

Required

Provide general clerical and administrative support to Insurance Advocates and the Insurance Coordinator
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the client data systems
Conduct database projects or status reports as assigned
Advocate for clients under the guidance of the Administrative Supervisor
Provide exemplary customer service to clients, case managers, insurance companies, the Department of Health's Early Intervention Program (EIP), and community partners
Perform all assigned duties of the position and other duties as needed
Demonstrated skills and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications, including Excel, Access, and Word
Able to organize, prioritize multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a time-sensitive environment
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both verbal and written form
Professional phone skills
Proven ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
Demonstrated ability to work effectively under stressful conditions
Two or more years of Administrative Assistant experience
Experience working in client databases
Basic knowledge of Washington state insurance laws and regulations, insurance plans, Medicare, Medicaid, Open Enrollment dates and the WA Healthplanfinder

Preferred

Experience working in the medical coverage/insurance field preferred
