Commercial Lines Insurance Sales CSR

Turner Insurance Agency Inc is seeking a motivated individual for the role of Commercial Lines Insurance Sales CSR. The primary purpose of this role is to provide service to existing clients and quote new business while building strong relationships with commercial clients and meeting sales goals.

Responsibilities

Using proper English & telephone techniques
Greeting clients & visitors promptly & in a friendly manner
Working with others as a team
Maintaining the appearance of your work area & the office in general
Complying with the guidelines set forth in the office manual
Obtaining a Property & Casualty insurance license within the first 6 weeks of employment and a Life & Health license within the first 3 months of employment
Assisting with service of existing accounts which includes handling renewals proactively, responding to client inquiries, policy changes, certificates of insurance and service needs
Serving as a trusted advisor with the ability to explain coverage, exclusions and risk management recommendations
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with commercial clients across various industries
Sales and Business Development – prospect, identify and develop new commercial client opportunities. This will include preparing and presenting insurance proposals and negotiating with underwriters. Yearly sales goals with quarterly checkpoints will be implemented
Servicing & Quoting Personal Auto policies – including meeting with clients
Servicing & Quoting Property policies – including meeting with clients
Selling Life Insurance products
Answering Client Questions
Assisting in the office with answering phones and greeting clients
Work closely with others in the office and agency leadership to ensure seamless client service
Participate in sales meetings, carrier trainings, continuing education and professional development as approved by agency management

Required

High school diploma required
If not already present, obtaining a Property & Casualty insurance license within the first 6 weeks of employment and a Life & Health license within the first 3 months of employment
Experience in sales, including both selling to directly to customers and selling to businesses
Excellent communication, consultative selling, and interpersonal skills
Highly motivated, self-directed and goal-oriented
Familiarity with Microsoft office processing systems including Word and Excel

Preferred

College degree preferred
Insurance industry experience preferred
