The Value Stream Generalist B is responsible for tasks within the Value Stream foundry molding line and core making operations, including operating powered industrial vehicles and performing preventative maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities
Operate powered industrial vehicles to transport materials
Transport sand molds and foundry sand
Remove hot castings from the sand mold
Position hot castings in a cooling position
Load sand into a screener
Operate the sand screener
Remove cast material from the screener
Perform preventative maintenance tasks
Shake out castings from the mold
Transport castings and sand tubes from the molding lines to the cleaning room, melt, and sand reclaim building
Transport Foundry supplies as required and place in designated locations
Maintain dust collectors
Change bags on dust collectors and keep area clean
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Operate powered industrial vehicles to transport materials
Transport sand molds and foundry sand

Position hot castings in a cooling position

Operate the sand screener

Perform preventative maintenance tasks
Shake out castings from the mold

Other duties as assigned
Basic math skills and basic measurement skills
Ability to obtain a forklift license upon hire
Safe operation of powered industrial vehicles
Ability to work independently
High school diploma or GED preferred
Work environment includes regular exposure to noise levels at or above 85 decibels, dust particles, sand and weather changes
The workstation requires the use of a respirator
The material handling route is indoor and outdoor
Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required to be worn during shift
Physical requirements include lifting up to 50lbs, good dexterity, and ability to bend, twist, reach and walk
Ability to navigate through tight spaces
Preferred
High school diploma or GED preferred
