Responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies that support regional business goals and optimize supply chain efficiencies
Manage key supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure high standards of compliance and quality
Work with various internal teams to ensure procurement strategies align with business objectives and operational needs
Oversee purchasing budgets and forecasting, ensuring alignment with financial targets and market demand
Identify potential supply chain risks and develop strategies to mitigate disruptions effectively
Provide leadership and development opportunities for the purchasing team, fostering an environment of innovation and continuous improvement
Engage in market research to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings and strategic supplier partnerships
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
10+ years of progressive procurement and supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment
At least 5 years in a regional or global leadership role within a large global, multi-national company
Deep knowledge of sourcing practices, supplier management, and contract negotiation
Proven track record in delivering cost savings and supplier performance improvements
Experience working in a multinational, matrixed organization
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
Fluency in English
Preferred
MBA or advanced degree
Pulp & Paper industry exposure
SAP familiarity
Lean Six Sigma (LSS) certification
Proficiency in Spanish and/or German
