HR Assistant/Records Maintenance

Harbor Point Behavioral Health Center offers hope and healing for youth ages 7 to 17 with various psychiatric diagnoses and developmental disabilities. The HR Assistant will perform daily HR duties, including file maintenance, recruitment, and employee engagement initiatives, while ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.

Responsibilities

Creates NEO packets and files for staff, contractors and interns
Takes and compiles minutes of meetings and committees
Maintains all files (audits files and documents and request missing documents)
Assists with all Job Fairs, Employee Engagement and Recognition initiatives
Maintains HR Newsletter and Calendars that are distributed to all-staff
Assist the HR Generalists with various duties as a HR team-player
Create HR letters for HRD, Memos and emails
Order supplies, as needed
Must be a representive of Human Resources, via providing HR guidance, and contribute to a culture of care for employees and residence, at all times
Assists with Human Resource Compliance projects
Assist with employee on-boarding and updating job descriptions
Assist with recruitment, employee retention, and employee engagement initiatives
Ensure Service Excellence protocols are demonstrated on a daily basis
Assist with all HR operations, as needed

Required

Must demonstrate knowledge commensurate with experience in coordination of smooth and effective daily HR operations
Strong communication skills
Meticulous approach toward records management
Ability to adapt to quickly changing situations
Ability to assist in establishment of positive workplace culture
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively to meet deadlines
Attention to details, accuracy
Must be a team player and able to perform each Essential Function of the job satisfactorily
Minimum high school diploma and course in business office practices
1-2 years of HR or clerical support experience in a fast-paced department

Preferred

Prefer some college and at least 1 year of experience working in human resources
PHR Certification is preferred
Direct HR experience or HR-related course work is preferred
Prefer experience with MS Office Suite and HRIS systems
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
