The role involves creating 3D models and 2D shop drawings, ensuring high-quality production details, and collaborating with internal departments.

Responsibilities

Work with Project Engineer, develop 3D models of designed products and 2D shop drawings for submittal to customer

Utilize CAD software tools for 3D modeling and 2D detailing to create high quality and error free project specific product details for production purposes and customer use in the field

Meet drawing submittal deadlines as determined by company

High attention to detail when developing 2D Shop Drawings

Electronic verification of product performance characteristics

Produce a bill of materials with valid ASTM references for procurement purposes

Communicate and interact with internal departments regarding design, fabrication, quality, costs and material availability

QC review of shop drawings completed by others

Intuitive interpretation of contract plans and specifications

Interpreting the design deliverable from the engineer and designing within those constraints

Create drawings for special projects (e.g. special equipment, facility renovation, etc)

Other duties as necessary
