New Grad, Entry LevelDallas Regional Medical Center is seeking a Unit Secretary to provide indirect patient care by managing departmental communications and organizing records. The role involves transcribing physician orders, coordinating with physicians and departments, and assisting nursing staff with non-clinical tasks in the Labor and Delivery department.

Responsibilities
Provide indirect patient care by assisting with departmental organization, communication needs, and coordination between staff, physicians, and patients
Enter and transcribe physician orders (in the absence of CPOE) with proper nursing notation and signature
Prepare, compile, and maintain patient records, charts, logbook entries, and documentation for the Perinatal Unit
Order supplies and forms for the unit, and assist nursing staff with restocking patient rooms after transfers or discharges
Accurately enter data into hospital computer systems and the QS Electronic Medical Record system while supporting nursing staff with indirect care tasks
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or Equivalent
BLS certification within 30 days and maintain current
Preferred
Proficient with medical terminology
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Previous experience in an acute care setting or physician's practice
