Simons Foundation is seeking an intern for their Scientific Computing Core to provide continuous benchmarking of cluster resources. The role involves creating automated tests, managing NoSQL databases, and detecting performance issues in high performance computing environments.

Responsibilities

Create scripts that will run automated tests based on the existing benchmarks

Upload the results to the existing NoSQL database interface

Write code on the server-side to detect out-of-distribution results and send alerts to the clusters administrators

Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned or required

Qualification

PythonNoSQL databasesUnix/LinuxScripting languagesCommunication skills

Required

Currently enrolled B.S. or M.S. in computer science, engineering or related technical discipline

Experience with Unix (Linux or equivalent)

Experience with scripting languages like Python

Databases: NoSQL

Must enjoy working in a vigorous research-driven environment

Desire to document code and process, deliberative decision-making

Strong oral and written communication

Excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills
