Building and leading a team of PhD, MS, and BS student researchers and post-docs
Developing externally funded research program that yields top-tier publications
Commitment to quality teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels
Service to the local and international professional communities
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. or equivalent in one of the disciplines noted above or a related discipline that clearly aligns with a focus on REE research
strong publication record or potential in the REE field
strong research program with existing external funding or potential for funding
commitment to quality teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels
Preferred
research and technical expertise that complements the Electrical Engineering Department's existing research strengths in Power/Energy and Power Electronics
connection to application-driven areas of Electrical Engineering, such as Energy Storage, Cyber-Physical Systems, Machine Learning, and Intelligent Energy Systems
understanding of the energy transition and ability to bridge the theory and implementation of the integration of conventional and renewable energy resources
ability to help build cross-cutting collaborations and add critical mass to the Department's growing efforts in REE and related interdisciplinary areas
