They are seeking a Refrigeration Engineer to design and develop refrigeration systems for various building types, ensuring compliance with codes and collaborating with project teams.
Mechanical Or Industrial Engineering
Responsibilities
Design and develop Refrigeration systems for grocery, commercial, and industrial buildings
Prepare refrigeration drawings, equipment selections, and system layouts based on project requirements and applicable codes
Collaborate with engineering supervisor, project managers, CAD/BIM teams, and field staff to ensure coordinated and constructible designs
Prepare load calculations, energy code compliance, and system sizing
Support preconstruction efforts including budgeting, system selection, and value engineering
Participate in field walks, construction support, and final system review
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
Refrigeration design experience in the commercial construction industry is a plus
Familiar with industry standards and codes (IIAR, ASHRAE, IECC, IMC)
Proficient in refrigeration load calculation concepts and software utilization
Strong communicator who enjoys working across disciplines and seeing designs come to life
