Responsibilities

Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions

Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information

Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies

Preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements

Maintaining schedules for balance sheet accounts and make monthly adjusting journal entries as appropriate Performing monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position variance analyses

Possess intimate knowledge of various entities, such that discrepancies from expectations can be identified and corrected, or appropriately explained

Coordinate with various functions within the accounting department and throughout the organization to ensure all items are properly presented and accounted

Maintains strict confidentiality in the performance of duties

Is a self-starter; uses their experience to take initiative and works independently
