NIWC - Undergraduate - Research and Analytics support to Department Staff and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Department Projects (Task 56-142521)
KPBS is seeking an undergraduate student to provide research and analytics support to the Department Staff and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Department Projects. The role involves performing data analysis, technical writing, and assisting with the development of processes and procedures for ISR programs.

Responsibilities
Performing data analysis using Microsoft Excel and appropriate statistical software
Composing and completing technical reports, system analyses, and assessments
Assisting with the development of processes and procedures utilized by ISR systems in the collection and dissemination of data
Participating in COR meetings and assist in coordinating related events and presentations for the ISR Department and NIWC Pacific
Performing technical writing, literature searches and reviews; compiling and cataloging background material; and/or preparing summaries
Submit Monthly Status Reports in accordance with the base contract
Qualification
Required
Area of Study: Any major. Psychology, Physiology, Biology Marine Biology and Chemistry. (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior)
Expertise with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and common statistical software
Interest and/or experience in engineering practices as well as software and hardware development, Program Management and Oversight
Qualified candidates will possess a strong work ethic, good communication skills and be detail oriented
Student available to work 10-20 hours per week during semester, and 15-40 hours per week during breaks preferred
This position may require the employee to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
Due to the regulations established by the Department of Defense, only US Citizens may qualify
This is a student position and is limited to working 20 hours per week
Candidate must reside in California and live within a commutable distance from SDSU at time of hire
Job offer is contingent upon satisfactory clearance based on background check results (including a criminal record check)
Preferred
Course Work (preferred, but not mandatory): College level math, or Statistics, Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or Psychology, Physiology Chemistry/Biology
