Responsibilities

Lead and manage daily operations of data center facilities, including power, cooling, and environmental systems
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Develop staffing plans, define roles and responsibilities, and ensure skill development across the team
Ensure high availability of mission-critical IT infrastructure with 24/7 operational oversight
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs
Monitor performance of electrical and mechanical systems (UPS, generators, PDUs, chillers, CRAC units)
Manage a team of engineers and technicians, providing training, mentoring, and performance feedback
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders for upgrades, commissioning, and maintenance activities
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, standards (OSHA, NFPA, ANSI/TIA), and company policies
Lead incident management and root cause analysis to minimize downtime and operational risks
Supervises all construction activity and installations including but not limited to network integrations, in coordination with internal and external construction resources, to ensure system design, installation and testing adhere to operational standards
Witness network testing of all equipment during commissioning and validate sequence of operations and receipt of all operational documentation
Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to maintain resilient, compliant, and standardized network communication protocols across all facility systems
Provide leadership in troubleshooting complex operational and network integration issues, coordinating with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders
Support capacity planning, system upgrades, and technology refresh projects by ensuring seamless network and system interoperability
Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management in alignment with business needs

Required

Bachelor's degree in electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field
10+ years of data center operations and maintenance experience
Proven expertise in power and cooling systems management
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Knowledge of compliance and safety standards in data center operations
Ability to remain in a stationary position (e.g., seated at a desk) for extended periods of time
Frequent operation of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment
Must be able to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and through video conferencing
Ability to read, interpret, and analyze information on screens and in printed materials
Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, bend, or lift office materials and supplies up to 20 pounds
Visual and auditory acuity necessary to perform job functions in a typical office environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced, professional office setting with regular use of standard office equipment
Fast paced with priorities that often change to meet current priorities
Travel to customer sites is required, and the ability to travel internationally with a valid passport
Must be legally entitled to work in the USA and prepared to travel abroad
