Responsibilities
Develop, test, and maintain COBOL-based mainframe applications
Analyze, debug, and optimize legacy and new code to improve performance and stability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions
Perform data analysis, file handling, and batch processing using JCL and VSAM
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner
Prepare and maintain documentation including system designs, technical specifications, and operational procedures
Qualification
Required
3+ years of hands-on experience in mainframe development with a strong focus on COBOL, JCL, and VSAM
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality deliverables
Preferred
Experience with DB2, CICS, and batch processing
