Responsibilities
Reviewing metadata health and identifying opportunities for improvement
Categorizing titles and applying metadata rules consistently across lists
Adding and refining keywords to strengthen discoverability
Suggesting BISAC updates and ensuring accurate subject classification
Using data insights to prioritize descriptive copy optimization
Learning best practices in online merchandising and understanding how metadata influences retail performance
Supporting project management tasks for the Summer Sprints program and other strategic initiatives
Qualification
Required
Current college student or recent graduate eager to dive into the world of book publishing
Ability to contribute meaningfully to projects
Willingness to collaborate with publishing professionals
Interest in how ideas can impact readers
Desire to gain hands-on experience working on real publicity campaigns
Ability to work 24 hours/week (2 days in-person, 1 day remote)
Strong communication skills as demonstrated in cover letter
