Responsibilities

Solve challenging technical problems involving power systems, controls, and advanced naval engineering
Provide engineering analysis and recommendations that shape ship design and modernization efforts
Communicate your insights directly to clients and program leaders
Review drawings, calculations, and change proposals to ensure technical excellence and system integrity
Support risk assessments, modeling, simulation, and system optimization
Prepare and deliver technical presentations for design reviews and technical boards
Participate in design studies for emerging naval power electronics and advanced shipboard technologies
Contribute to system requirements, testing, documentation, and full lifecycle engineering support
Collaborate in technical interchange meetings and cross-functional engineering efforts

Required

U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance (required)
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
At least 3 years of experience in electrical or systems engineering supporting government or commercial shipbuilding programs
Understanding of power distribution, 3-phase systems, generators, drives, controls, and sensors
Strong technical communication skills and confidence working with customers
Proficiency with electrical system design tools and Microsoft Office

Preferred

Experience with naval systems or U.S. Navy programs
Familiarity with motor drives, switchgear, protective relays, cabling, or solid-state power conversion
Project management experience or familiarity with CMMI
Industrial automation or advanced controls experience
Knowledge of power train systems from vendors like Bogue or DRS
