Supply Chain Clerk - 2nd Shift

The Supply Chain Clerk is responsible for verifying materials before production, ensuring accuracy in inventory, and maintaining safety and quality standards in the workplace.

Responsibilities
Maintains a high level of safety awareness for an accident-free work place
Reports any unsafe or hazardous work conditions or safety-related issues to Management
Immediately issues materials to appropriate job numbers as the material is brought into the production room
Immediately informs the Production Supervisor or Coordinator of discrepancies between the bar code quantity and actual quantity
Requisitions materials and/or ingredients from warehouse personnel
Runs variance report and compares material used to material staged and provides the information to the supervisor or the lead on a timely basis
Assists Production Leads to ensure pallet quantities match tag quantities for any material returning to the warehouse
Prints and monitors bin aging reports throughout shift to identify problems and resolves them immediately
Suggests changes to procedures that may increase the accuracy of inventory
Assists leads in ensuring the staging bin inventory is accurate at the end of each production shift
Maintains area free of debris
Suggests ways to control labor and supply costs as well as improve processes
Ensures that all work activities are performed with attention to the highest standards for quality, safety and compliance with all appropriate legal and food safety requirements and a focus on continuous improvement
Ensures that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) are followed
Follows all company policies & procedures as well as the GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices)
Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested
All other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications with proficiency in MS Excel
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and exhibit attention to detail
Able to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization
Possess basic reasoning and problem solving skills
Have the ability to work independently and with a team within a fast paced environment
Demonstrate and promote teamwork on a consistent basis
Must be able to physically perform the functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
Must be able to work extended hours, such as daily overtime and an occasional weekend
Must be able to work extended hours while standing
Continuous walking throughout plant and distribution center
Lifting up to 40 pounds
