Responsibilities

Develop scopes, schedules, and budgets for a variety of survey projects
Perform research and calculations in multiple jurisdictions
Lead QA/QC for deliverables across boundary, control, and construction-related surveys
Build and maintain client relationships within the region
Coordinate with other DEA business units on integrated project delivery
Mentor and support field and office staff to advance their development within the profession

Licensed Professional Land SurveyorCAD software proficiencyLand surveying softwareMentoring junior staffProject managementCollaboration with stakeholdersCommunication skillsTeam-oriented mindset

Required

Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in the State of Kansas with authority to review, approve, seal, and sign boundary, topographic, and ALTA/NSPS surveys
5-10 years of relevant survey experience
Ability to independently manage projects and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Experience mentoring junior staff and directing technical work
Proficiency with CAD and land surveying software (e.g., Civil 3D, MicroStation InRoads/OpenRoads)
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
