Senior LevelThe University of Utah Financial Services is seeking a Pediatric Nephrologist to join their esteemed Pediatric Administration department. The successful candidate will work in a renowned children’s hospital, focusing on pediatric kidney transplantation and providing care for patients with various kidney disorders.

Responsibilities
Assume the role of Medical Director of Kidney Transplantation immediately or have the option to be mentored into that role over 1-3 years
Care for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with a variety of kidney disorders, including those patients on dialysis and with kidney transplants in the inpatient and outpatient settings
Perform procedures including hemodialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy, peritoneal dialysis, therapeutic plasma exchange, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and kidney biopsy with sedation
Carry out clinical activities at Primary Children’s Hospitals in Salt Lake City and Lehi, UT, as well as University of Utah Hospital and Clinics, with the potential for outreach clinics in the future
Engage in teaching and research as encouraged, with the degree varying depending on rank, track, and job description
Upon assuming the responsibility of Medical Director of Kidney Transplantation, lead and develop that program
Qualification
Required
Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatric Nephrology
Excellent procedural and clinical skills
Capability of performing procedures including hemodialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy, peritoneal dialysis, therapeutic plasma exchange, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and kidney biopsy with sedation
Preferred
Interest in pediatric kidney transplantation
Experience in teaching and research
Ability to assume the role of Medical Director of Kidney Transplantation
