Part-Time Social Media Intern - Penn State World Campus Brand Marketing

Penn State University is seeking a Part-Time Social Media Intern for their World Campus Brand Marketing Team. The intern will assist with organic social media efforts, reporting directly to the Director of Web Marketing and Social Media Strategy, and will be involved in content planning, execution, and metrics analysis.

This is a paid internship position with a base hourly rate of $11/hour
Can be used for academic credit if approved by your academic department
This position would require 15 hours per week beginning in January 2026 and run through the Spring 2026 semester
This position will be fully remote and does not require the candidate to work from our University Park location

Current Penn State employee or student seeking employment with Penn State
Passion for social media
Ability to assist with organic social media efforts
Ability to develop strategy for and implement organic social media content on Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube
Ability to assist in daily operations and social media content planning, execution, and metrics analysis
Availability to work 15 hours per week beginning in January 2026 and run through the Spring 2026 semester
Ability to work fully remote
Successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies
