Responsibilities

Support F-16 Production and F-22 Sustainment Material Review Board (MRB) repairs to ensure discrepant parts or assemblies meet required strength standards
Perform stress analysis on metallic and composite materials, including sizing of detail parts and assessing the strength of primary and secondary aircraft structures and systems
Certify new and existing designs by performing strength analysis, releasing drawings, and preparing analysis reports
Evaluate and compare structural efficiency and weight for different structural arrangements and concepts through analysis and trade studies
Provide input for structural tests, including test requirements, loads, and predicted results

Required

Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering
Experience with structural analysis of primary and secondary airframe structure
Experience with metallic and composite analysis
Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance

Preferred

Experience with free-body diagrams, classical hand calculations, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) pre- and post-processing, Linux or other computer languages
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate in a team-based environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office
