Responsibilities
Design automation fixtures, tooling, and mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks
Build detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturable drawings
Program and support CNC machining operations using Mastercam
Use 3D printing to produce complex fixture concepts and components
Partner with machinists, fabricators, and production teams to ensure practical, cost-effective designs
Participate in hands-on fabrication, assembly, and testing of fixtures and automation solutions
Lead small to medium-sized projects from concept through implementation
Identify continuous improvement opportunities that increase efficiency, reduce cost, and improve consistency
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline
2 to 5 years of mechanical design and automation fixture experience
Proficiency in SolidWorks
Experience with Mastercam or equivalent CAD/CAM software
Hands-on experience with CNC mills, CNC routers, and 3D printing
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
Excellent problem solving, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred
Experience creating fixtures in a high-volume manufacturing environment
Exposure to robotics, sensors, and automation components
Experience supporting continuous improvement or lean initiatives
