Responsibilities
Representing policyholder clients in all phases of insurance coverage disputes
Advising clients on the scope of available insurance coverage and identifying ways to address insurance coverage denials or limitations
Drafting coverage correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents
Appearing at depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and in court
Supporting clients as they seek to recover insurance proceeds they are owed
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Admission to the Illinois Bar or eligibility for admission via waiver
4-6 years of insurance coverage experience at a reputable law firm or in-house position
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with strong analytical, writing, and problem-solving abilities
Preferred
Preferred experience working with CGL, D&O, E&O, EPL, Fiduciary, Professional Liability, Property, and/or Cyber Insurance Policies
