Senior Program Manager, Clinical Research Informatics

Columbia University Irving Medical Center is seeking a Senior Program Manager for Clinical Research Informatics. The Senior Program Manager will oversee the development, implementation, and coordination of research support services and instructional programs to facilitate clinical research informatics.

Responsibilities

Strategic planning of programs and projects. Scheduling and management of meetings. Coordinate, monitor and report on Clinical Research Informatics projects. Developing meeting agendas, distributing notes on meeting content, and monitoring progress on action items
Serve as the primary contact for questions and inquiries from researchers for clinical research informatics services including the coordination of service requests
Collect and report data and collaborate with the Evaluation and Continuous Improvement team on program evaluations. Disseminate Resource contributions to clinical and translational research and science
Develop and organize seminar series, instructional programs, and other events as determined by leadership. Develop grant proposals and manuscripts
Work with other program managers of the Irving Institute to fully execute Irving Institute goals and missions. Work with other research administration leaders to assist in institutional programs
Join the Irving Institute Administrative Core in providing support for major Irving Institute events including the annual External Advisory Board, Internal Advisory Committee, retreats and symposia, and other Institute-wide projects and programs, as needed
Perform general administrative functions, related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus 4 years of related experience

Preferred

Candidates with experience in communication and planning IT/Informatics projects with knowledge of research informatics solutions will be viewed as positive
Demonstrated achievement in project management
Organizational and follow-through skills
Superior interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Close attention to detail
Good proficiency with computer software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, etc.)
Ability to quickly learn new computer programs
Strong work ethic
Ability to work independently
Experience interacting with all levels of faculty, management and staff
Ability to manage multiple programs and initiatives
Prior experience collaborating on grant and manuscript preparation and submission
