Responsibilities

Adhere to safety protocols
Strictly follows SOPs and site trainer’s direction in training, sample handling, project processing, and documentation
Maintains the cleanliness of work area
Sort incoming samples
Prepare sequencing template, including preparation, amplification and PCR purification
Labware washing, biohazardous/hazardous waste collection and packaging
Communicate with customers and other departments by email/phone in a friendly and professional manner
Assist in purifying sequencing templates and load samples onto sequencing machines
May need to work with automation platforms
May require working overtime, and/or weekends. Alternative shifts with advanced notice

Required

High School Diploma required
Excellent interpersonal skills; both verbal and written are essential

Preferred

AAS Degree or equivalent lab work experience preferred
1+ years of lab work experience preferred
