Responsibilities
Responsible for professional nursing care and related assistance to patients on an assigned unit
Provides direction to licensed vocational nurses and non-professional nursing personnel in providing direct patient care
Supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the objectives of the hospital
Qualification
Required
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse
Certified in BLS through the American Heart Association
ACLS and PALS/ENPC required within 6 months of hire
Preferred
Previous perioperative nursing experience preferred
Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to assess and provide care to the patients
A critical thinker and the ability to effectively communicate with patients over the phone
