This role involves troubleshooting maintenance problems, performing preventative maintenance, and designing/installing HVAC systems for new projects.
Responsibilities
Operates and maintains domestic water system
Operates and maintains The Venetian Resort chilled water supply system
Operates and maintains complete heating ventilation
Designs and installs HVAC systems for new projects
Maintains and repairs the canal filtration system
Operates, maintains and repairs waste water treatment plant
Performs preventative maintenance of all mechanical equipment related to water features
Troubleshoots complex maintenance problems, and develops creative solutions. Performs maintenance duties as necessary
Interfaces with contractors. Creates written specifications and secures bids for services in accordance with established bid process. Reviews plans
Interfaces with vendors. Researches and evaluates new housekeeping and maintenance products and procedures. Orders supplies as needed
Establishes schedules for repairs and preventative maintenance and ensures they are adhered to
Maintain, repair, modify and enhance a product or service or facilities
Evaluate information to repair, maintain, or modify a product or service or facility; and refine or improve or modify systems, products or services or facilities of a department or function
Safety is an essential function of this job
Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
21 years of age
Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States
High School Diploma or equivalent
4 years working on the job in electrical, plumbing, air conditioning and heating appliances required
Must possess personal computer and data entry skills
Knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, using hand tools, electrical, refrigerator, air conditioning and heating, and appliances
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience
Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays
Must be able to lift or carry 50 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned
Must be able to physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation
Must maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts
Must be able to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts
Must be able to work for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel
Must be able to work in a fast-paced and busy environment
Must be able to work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke
