8+ years expnLeague is seeking a qualified Senior Software Tester/QA Analyst for the State of Virginia – TAX. The role involves performing manual and automated testing, coordinating user acceptance testing, and collaborating effectively with both functional and non-functional teams within IT Services.

Responsibilities
Performed manual and/or automated testing using industry standard testing tools, standards, and methodologies
Co-ordinate UAT users and assist in the preparation of UAT test scripts
Implementing and executing testing strategies, plans, methodologies and frameworks in support of Agile development
Using test management/ Version Control tools (Azure DevOps/ TFS/ Git) and extensive experience writing test cases in Gherkin
Writing Complex SQL queries for Creating and Maintenance of test data to support automation testing and Business users
Proficiency in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, XML
Knowledge of programming language e.g. Ruby, Java OR Python
Working in Window and Linux environment
Reviewing metrics to identify areas for process optimization, Conduct dry run/smoke testing to ensure scripts readiness and Execute automation scripts
Gather requirements from the Business Analyst to understand the project, analyze requirements, identify gaps in the requirements, skill sets required and provide LOE
Provide Test Scenarios/ Cases walkthrough and seek customer sign off inclusive of Prioritization of Test cases, Optimization options
A thorough understanding of risk-based testing
Test the defect and update the status, conduct root cause analysis of the defects logged and assist developers in recreating bugs
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in both verbal and written communications
Strong analytical, interpersonal and verbal communication skills are necessary due to the dynamic nature of collaborations with engineering teams and solving complex system problems together
Qualification
Required
ISEB / ISTQB qualification in Software Testing to practitioner level or equivalent qualifications or experience
Experience of using test management/ Version Control tools (Azure DevOps/ TFS/ Git) and extensive experience writing test cases in Gherkin
Proficiency in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, XML
