Packaging Specialist
Sechan Electronics, Inc. is a 100% Employee Owned organization that provides products and services to the aerospace and defense industry. The Packaging Specialist is responsible for packaging and crating company products to ensure accurate and undamaged delivery to customers, while also adhering to quality control standards.

Responsibilities
Ensures products meet specification, ability to read and comprehend work/process instructions, data sheets, photos, prints, diagrams, and standard measurements with high attention to detail
Selects proper packaging materials, cuts, and applies material in appropriate dimensions
Seals packaging utilizing the correct material and heat sealing equipment
Understand general operating methods or procedures concerning cleaning, priming, paint touch-up and re-painting, as well as, serves as final manufacturing quality check before shipping
Understand a step-by-step method to install hardware, safety wire and Safe-T-Cables
Utilize correct torqueing tools and apply the correct torque technique during assembly
Obtain and maintain J-Standard certifications
Continuously communicates status of product to group leader or packaging supervisor
Utilizes computer to navigate work instructions and company integrated software systems
Uses various hand tools and equipment to complete packaging responsibilities
Reviews documents for accuracy and completeness
Follows Quality Control Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
May occasionally operate industrial forklift to assist in loading or moving materials and product
Works flexible hours and overtime as needed to meet customer demands
Obtain and maintain Hazardous Material & Dangerous Goods Certification
Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
Perform other duties as assigned to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the value of this organization
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to read and comprehend work and process instructions

Specific vision abilities including; close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
