Civil Engineer (Junior Level)

Penn E&R is seeking a full-time Civil Engineer at their Pittsburgh, PA office. You will have the opportunity to perform a wide range of tasks across all of Penn E&R’s market sectors, engaging in both office-based and field-based assignments.

Responsibilities

Preparation of site plans, erosion and sediment control plans, post-construction stormwater management plans, and land development/subdivision plans
Hydrology and hydraulic and drainage calculations
Erosion and sediment control design
Stormwater management calculations
Post-Construction Stormwater Management BMP design
Infiltration Testing
AutoCAD/Civil 3D and standard drafting techniques and applications with experience in the preparation of the following:
Creating 3-D surfaces
Grading plans
Profiles/cross-sections
Pipe networks and corridors
Working with Project Managers to coordinate with clients and prepare proposals

Qualification

Civil/Environmental EngineeringEngineer In Training (EIT)HydrologyHydraulicsAutoCAD Civil 3DErosionSediment controlsStormwater management controls

Required

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field
Engineer In Training license
3 to 7 years of civil engineering experience
EIT required, PE a plus

Preferred

Schooling and/or work experience in hydrology and hydraulics
Schooling and/or work experience in erosion and sediment controls
Schooling and/or work experience in stormwater management controls
Schooling and/or work experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D
