Responsibilities
Represent Middlesex Savings Bank to the public and colleagues
Promote the Bank's core values and mission
Focus on the customer experience, achievement of operational excellence, achievement of performance goals, solid decision making, and a commitment to the success of the Bank and their team
Conduct a wide array of customer transactions
Recommend products and services in conformance with Bank objectives
Assist customers with questions, as requested
Develop an understanding of customers’ needs and expectations
Ensure quality and accuracy of work
Demonstrate sound technical knowledge, including of Bank products, services and technology services
Stay informed of and adhere to alerts, procedures and policies
Perform all duties in accordance with prescribed compliance, security and risk protocols
Maintain proficiency in regulatory compliance
Comply with all Bank policies including those pertaining to confidentiality, email, and others
Engage as a member of the branch team; step up as needed to accomplish team objectives
Support branch supervisors in implementing Bank policies, procedures and initiatives and creating a positive work environment
Follow through on tasks and assignments, manage time and priorities effectively and demonstrate flexibility
Express ideas well and clearly; use professional written, verbal and electronic communications
Understand and comply with Bank policies and procedures
Be aware of potential risks and alert branch supervisors as appropriate
Bring requests for exceptions to branch supervisors as appropriate
Perform functions, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers and co-workers
Perform other related and unrelated duties as required
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or its equivalent, or currently enrolled
Strong customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills
Knowledge of basic math principles and ability to perform basic mathematical procedures
Intermediate technology skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to work extended and weekend hours
Scheduling and work location flexibility
Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift 25 pounds
Preferred
3-6 months banking or retail cash handling experience
