Technical Program Manager, Tesla AI
Tesla is a leading electric vehicle and clean energy company, seeking a Technical Program Manager for its Autopilot Software Programs team. The role involves managing software release workflows, ensuring timely updates of safety-critical features, and resolving bottlenecks in the release process.

Responsibilities
Manage the technical software release workflows end-to-end through collaboration with technical leads, component owners, infrastructure support, QA, and external teams
Track progress toward release signoff completion
Manage branch creation, auto-merging, and change control
Handle large branch merges that often require git conflict resolutions and input from multiple engineers across the company
Manage risks and resolve issues related to release scope, schedule, and quality
Maintain a release log with key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and feature descriptions
Ensure ticket hygiene is maintained
Implement process improvements to reduce workflow inefficiencies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in a STEM-related field, Computer Science or Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience
Experience with Git or similar
A desire to move fast and fix problems without being asked; ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment with high ambiguity
Proven track record of exceptional ability (i.e., have personally solved difficult problems that have moved the needle on meaningful projects)
Excellent communication, multidisciplinary collaboration, attention to detail, and organizational skills
Experience leading team efforts and/or project management experience
Availability to work weekends when needed
Preferred
Experience with JIRA or similar project management software is a plus
Experience releasing customer-facing software at a scale in a fast-paced work environment is a plus
Software Branch Management experience is a plus
