As a Senior Lead Project Engineer in the Power Conversion Systems group, you will lead technical execution for Battery Energy Storage Systems and renewable energy projects, guiding design and engineering from concept to commissioning.

Responsibilities

Lead technical execution of BESS and renewable energy projects

Review and approve design deliverables and project documentation

Configure control systems and SCADA software for energy applications

Support proposal development and respond to RFIs and RFPs

Collaborate with supply chain to evaluate and approve technical solutions

Manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies

Interface with customers to deliver tailored engineering solutions

Share technical knowledge and support internal training and testing

Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering and 5+ years of experience in power systems, energy storage, or power electronics; or

Master's degree in engineering and 3+ years of relevant experience

Experience with SCADA systems and communication protocols (Modbus, DNP)

Strong technical aptitude in electrical engineering and industrial software

Familiarity with renewable and thermal generation technologies

Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams

Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
