Electrical Commissioning Engineer
Linde Engineering North America LLC is a member of the Linde Engineering Division focused on providing innovative solutions in various engineering domains. The Electrical Commissioning Engineer will support commissioning managers in creating project plans and ensuring compliance with electrical installation and testing requirements, while also participating in third-party testing and inspections.

Responsibilities
You will support commissioning managers to create the electrical portions of the project commissioning plan, sequencer, safety/LOTO plan, and commissioning checkout books to include Linde and industry standard procedures, guidelines, and best practices
Participate in the review of electrical drawings and factory acceptance tests at vendor shops in view of commissioning, start-up, and operation of process plants
Additionally, you will monitor construction progress and support construction QA/QC to ensure electrical equipment installation is in accordance with drawings and specifications ahead of turnover to commissioning
Further, you will inspect the installation and termination of field electrical contractor installed wiring between electrical equipment for drawing/specification compliance
Perform control wiring checks of OEM wiring for drawing/specification compliance
Work with field team, vendors, and engineering to resolve deficiencies
You will actively participate in the third-party testing (meggering, ductoring, relay testing, phasing, etc.)
Review equipment testing results for acceptability to energize
Moreover, you will perform 'Live Switching' (energization) of associated equipment
Record all activity completion in electrical checkout books for turnover to Client or operations
Qualification
Required
You have a two to four year degree (in engineering, engineering technology or a technical field) with 5+ years field experience with high voltage equipment, no degree and 10+ years field experience, or a IBEW trained journeyman electrician or military trained electrician
You have the ability for Domestic and International travel up to 80% of the time to support project tasks, as this is a primarily job-site based position (Jobsites are located primarily in continental US with occasional assignments in Canada/Latin America)
Demonstrated experience and electrical aptitude/skills with wiring schematics, basic hand tools, and High Voltage testing equipment (i.e. meggers, electronic relays, PT's, CT's, high voltage phasing, etc.)
You have the ability to perform moderate lifting and carrying (15-45 pounds) and can occasionally climb ladders during field work assignments (Accommodations will be made if they are reasonable, do not create an undue hardship, and will enable an individual with a disability to safely perform the essential job functions)
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Project
