Electronic Equipment Technician

Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational support for high-voltage DC power supplies, high-power modulator systems, and other electronic equipment in a manufacturing environment, ensuring optimal performance
Fabricate and assemble components for prototypes, and assist with experimental apparatus setup, testing, and adjustments
Conduct modifications, maintenance, and repair of electronic systems, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols
Apply a strong foundation in analog and digital electronic theory to troubleshoot down to the component level
Diagnose and repair issues with PLC control systems to maintain efficient system operation
Use multimeters, oscilloscopes, RF test equipment, and high-voltage equipment for accurate system diagnostics and repair
Work safely and confidently with high-voltage systems, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols
Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and control systems to assess electronic systems’ performance
Collaborate with engineering teams to support continuous improvement initiatives for product and process optimization
Follow established safety protocols rigorously, contributing to a safe, efficient work environment
Work extended hours as necessary to support production schedules and project timelines
Qualification
Required
Strong technical background in analog and digital electronics
Expertise with high-voltage equipment and control systems
Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational support for high-voltage DC power supplies, high-power modulator systems, and other electronic equipment in a manufacturing environment
Fabricate and assemble components for prototypes, and assist with experimental apparatus setup, testing, and adjustments

Preferred
Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or related field; BSEE or equivalent experience a plus
5+ years of experience maintaining and repairing high-voltage electronic equipment in a manufacturing, semiconductor, defense, or similar environment
Proven ability to perform bench-level circuit troubleshooting and electrical verification
Hands-on proficiency with oscilloscopes, HV probes, RF test equipment, and related diagnostic tools
Experience with PLCs and industrial automation systems
Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics, power systems, and control circuits
Skilled in root-cause failure analysis and corrective action methods
Strong documentation and communication skills
Safety-first mindset with demonstrated experience working under high-voltage protocols
Ability to obtain a security clearance is a plus
