Level II Startup Test Engineer
SIMCO, LLC is managing and operating the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) and is seeking a Level II Startup Test Engineer. The role involves planning, documenting, and managing the execution of startup testing on various systems and components, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and improving testing processes.

Responsibilities
Prepare testing documentation and manage the execution of startup testing
Plan and supervise inspection, examination, and testing activities
Evaluate the validity of testing results and assist in writing procedures
Coordinate with other organizations in the development and performance of startup tests
Communicate progress and issues to project management and other stakeholders
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols
Continuously improve processes and procedures to ensure efficient and effective completion of testing activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree with two (2) years of experience in testing, commissioning, or related role, or
Associate's degree with six (6) years of experience in testing, commissioning, or related role
Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and project management skills
Currently qualified or able to qualify as a Level II Startup engineer
Must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in limited circumstances
Preferred
WIPP or other DOE experience
