Dean of the Mary Couts Burnett Library

They are seeking an outstanding leader to serve as the next Dean of the Mary Couts Burnett Library, responsible for providing strategic vision and operational leadership while enhancing research and educational excellence.
Responsibilities
Build upon an established and very successful library enterprise, leading its exciting next phase of growth and development
Provide strategic vision and operational leadership to each of the Library’s services and programs, setting priorities for the Library and guiding it toward strategic goals of enhancing and promoting research
Promote the Library’s goals and achievements, leading its development and fundraising activities, and speaking for its mission of excellence in scholarship and service
Advance the scholarly activities of the faculty, including fostering interdisciplinary opportunities and external collaborations
Inspire the Library’s staff and promote an ethos of professionalism and care
Serve as the Library’s public voice, promoting innovative ideas and solidifying partnerships within TCU, nationally, and internationally
Capitalize on substantial investments in facilities and equipment, as well as partner with other TCU leaders to further develop and enhance library services and the creation of new partnerships
Qualification
Required
Outstanding leadership skills
Experience in library administration
Ability to provide strategic vision and operational leadership
Experience in enhancing and promoting research
Experience in community engaged scholarship
Commitment to excellence in undergraduate, graduate, and professional education
Ability to advocate for the library's goals and achievements
Experience in development and fundraising activities
Ability to promote innovative ideas and solidify partnerships
Recognized leader in the field of library science
Ability to inspire library staff and promote professionalism and care
Experience in fostering interdisciplinary opportunities and external collaborations
Ability to support and sustain areas of innovation
