They are currently seeking a full-time Patient Service Representative responsible for scheduling patients for procedures and maintaining accurate patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Responsibilities
Making outbound calls to schedule patients for procedures
Entering patient and procedure information correctly into the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
Projecting a positive image at all times and maintaining an upbeat, positive attitude in all interactions with patients and coworkers
Qualification
Required
Formal training which will probably be indicated by a high school diploma or equivalent
1 or more years of experience working with the public, preferably in a healthcare setting
Knowledge of medical terminology
Knowledge of the different types of health insurance plans; i.e. HMO's, PPO's, etc
Ability to recognize priority or emergency phone calls
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, both on the telephone and in person, including patients who are angry or upset
Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Ability to sit at a desk and answer the telephone/perform data entry up to 8 hours a day
Proficient with Windows-based PC environment
