Responsibilities
Logistical Management: Manage the logistical aspects of product life cycles, including coordination of samples and minimization of obsolescence
Program Development: Develop and implement logistics program activities, including Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), technical documentation, Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM), and provisioning
Problem Resolution: Resolve logistics problems and compile data on standardization and interchangeability of parts to expedite logistics activities
Cost Analysis: Perform system life-cycle cost analysis and develop component studies to inform decision-making
Support Activities: Plan, organize, and execute logistics support activities such as maintenance planning, repair analysis, and test equipment recommendations
Technology Advancement: Stay informed of logistics technology advances and government policies, applying them to improve logistics processes
Strategic Advisory: Provide strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to program and project staff from project inception to conclusion
Qualification
Required
Active Secret clearance
Minimum of 10 years of experience as a logistician within the DOD environment
An additional 6 years of experience may be substituted for the degree requirement
Exceptional qualifications and expertise in logistics
Ability to initiate, supervise, and develop requirements for complex programs
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred
Certified Logistics Professional Certification
1 academic year at an accredited college or university in a preferred degree-related post-secondary program may count as 1 year of experience
