Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment and communication skills
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide assistance to staff and visitors as needed
Carry and operate issued firearms in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and patrol activities as required by Allied Universal and site protocols
Work closely with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed, supporting a coordinated response to incidents
Monitor access points and check identification or credentials to help to control entry to restricted areas
Qualification
Required
Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent
Possess an armed guard card or license
Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience
Possess a corrections officer license
Possess a law enforcement officer license
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Participate in industry-specific security training programs
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
