Spacecraft Systems Engineer

Responsibilities
Serve in a government program office as a trusted advisor for a major space system acquisition
Collaborating with program office, contractor, and ETG counterparts in a high-velocity environment to execute an innovative, tailored mission assurance baseline for a high-visibility, first of its kind, Major Systems Acquisition program
Managing development and execution of verification and validation plans, on-orbit initialization plans, and operational demonstration plans through manufacture, integration, test, and launch
Monitoring development activities and ensuring standards compliance at several factory locations around the U.S
Leading development / publication of periodic program Mission Assurance Reports detailing Aerospace contributions and highlighting programmatic risks
Leverage Aerospace’s premier analysis, simulation, and laboratory resources in the Engineering and Technology Group matrix to bring the best of Aerospace to support program needs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or a related technical field
Minimum 6 years of progressively more responsible experience
Knowledge of DoD and/or IC space systems acquisition
Knowledge of systems engineering processes, to include requirements generation and verification
Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams and impacting program decision-making
Willing to travel domestically approximately 10% of the time
This position requires a current and active TS/SBI/SCI security clearance and polygraph, which is issued by the U.S. government
U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
Minimum 12 years of experience in spacecraft systems engineering
Experience in space systems acquisition across the acquisition cycle
Experience performing requirements generation and verification activities
Preferred
Advanced degree in science, engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field
Depth in one or more space subsystems or related specialties
Experience working in the Survivability and Resilience mission area
