DevOps Engineering Intern

Responsibilities

Assist in managing and maintaining on-premises build and test environments
Support development teams using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or TeamCity
Help configure, monitor, and troubleshoot virtual environments using VMware and Ansible
Automate repetitive tasks and workflows using scripting languages (Python, Bash)
Collaborate with developers to integrate secure DevOps practices across projects
Gain experience managing repositories and workflows using Git and GitLab
Participate in lab setup and configuration, including server installation and basic networking
Contribute to the documentation of DevOps processes and tool usage
Participate in agile sprints, sharing feedback and improvement ideas

Required

Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Coursework or project experience in DevOps, systems administration, or automation
Familiarity with Linux environments (Red Hat, CentOS, or Fedora)
Basic understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, TeamCity)
Exposure to virtualization or containerization tools (VMware, Docker)
Scripting experience in Python and/or Bash
Understanding of basic networking principles (TCP/IP)
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
Clear written and verbal communication
Eagerness to learn from mentors and collaborate in a technical environment
Adaptable and organized in managing multiple tasks
Candidates must be able to obtain/maintain a US Government security clearance
